Two interesting reads relating to the Programming Languages course I’m taking at University:
- The evolution of programming languages on Reflective Surface (Ronaldo’s recent thoughts on Smalltalk are worth a read as well).
- Strategies for learning new languages, in which Keith Devens discusses the language features he looks for when trying to understand a new language.
The Reflective Surface post reminded me that Wikipedia is traditionally excellent for programming related topics. Their overviews of Functional Programming, Imperative Programming and Scheme all live up to their usual high standards.
