&lt;p&gt;Dropbox is definitely the wrong tool for this - you'll find yourself running in to all sorts of weird problems very quickly if you attempt to use it this way.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;If you want a tool that helps with instant feedback pair programming, take a look at a collaborative text editor such as SubEthaEdit for OS X &lt;span&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.codingmonkeys.de/subethaedit/"&gt;http://www.codingmonkeys.de/sube...&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/span&gt; or one of the web based equivalents such as HackPad.&lt;/p&gt;
